Bronx trolley and art


Two of my photos will be on display as part of the Bronx Blue Bedroom's Pre-Holiday Sale & Exhibition. The opening reception is Nov. 7th and the exhibit runs until the end of the month. The Bronx Culture Trolley rolls again Nov. 4th and the Bronx Blue Bedroom is one of the stops. Go to www.bronxarts.org for more information.

NYC Collective photo workshop

The NYC Collective of the Puerto Rican Photographic Society and Hope Community are sponsoring a photo workshop and photo critique session in East Harlem on Nov. 7th for emerging and professional photographers. The event is free, but space is limited. There are only a few slots available. Deadline to register is Oct. 30.

The photo workshop's lineup: New York Times' journalist David Gonzalez and photojournalist Angel Franco and photojournalist Ricky Flores of the Journal News in upstate New York.

Join me at 2nd Annual Latin Heritage Celebration

Friday, October 16

This year’s talent showcase will include Maria Cangiano, who will perform tango music from Argentina; CaƱa y Cadencia, a Spanish Flamenco group; St. Mary’s Second Generation youth salsa dancers; and the teenage salsa/merengue/bachata band, De la Isla! Latin restaurant Sofrito will be serving samplings of their fine Puerto Rican cuisine.

The event is free and open to the public.

The celebration is part of a series of events held at the East 54 Street Center spot lighting cultural, history, community, recreation, and fitness.

(I will be displaying some of my Puerto Rican-themed images. Elizabeth Valentin, another artist, is also exhibiting some of her work.)
